What is inside a Tummies doll?
Inside the soft body sits the removable wheat bag, filled with organic wheat. The doll itself is made of organic cotton certified to OCS, and its stuffing is recycled PET carrying the GRS label.
Even the names fit dolls that can be warm or cool: Summer takes hers from the warmest season, while the boys, Celsius and Kelvin, share theirs with two temperature scales.
Warm or cool: who decides?
Whether the bag goes in warm or cool is decided on the day. Often the child knows best whether a warm doll or a cool one feels nicer right now, and the adult prepares the bag. A warm Tummies doll is pleasant to hold during a story on the sofa, a cool one when the weather is hot. So the choice changes with the day, and the doll changes with it.
Why a second bag?
The extra wheat bag is made to fit the Tummies, covered in organic linen and filled with unscented wheat. With a spare at hand, one bag can be warming up or cooling down while the other stays in the doll, so nobody has to wait. The extra bag can also be used without the doll.
