Joyk dolls - empathy doll Billy The Cat

Many people living with dementia once had a cat of their own and know how it feels to have one curled up on their lap.

The Joyk empathy doll Billy the cat is three products in one: a stuffed animal, a hand puppet and a warming friend. It feels almost like a real pet, especially if you fill the included blue bag yourself with heat-storing material (e.g. cherry stones), heat it in a microwave and then put it into Billy's belly. This makes the cat lovely to cuddle and care for. Billy simply wants to be stroked and makes no demands. It was designed by Britt-Marie Egedius-Jakobsson, the Swedish designer who invented Joyk empathy dolls.

Included is a bag filled with plastic granulate, which can increase the weight and volume of the cat to make it appear more realistic. Also, an additional empty blue bag is included for you to fill yourself.

To stow the bags in the cat, Billy has a suitable opening. Thanks to this opening, Billy can alternatively be used as a hand puppet.

Billy is also a therapy doll with Human Touch, as the cat can be optionally equipped with a special module simulating the heartbeat.

Material: The body of the cat is made of synthetic fibres and the paws are filled with beads

The bag for filling has a size of approx. 19 x 14 cm

Warning! Choking hazard. Small parts and long haired fibre may cause choking if swallowed. To be used under the direct supervision of an adult.
