Description
As a little Folkmanis stage puppet, the fox is sized for children and worked with the same care as the full-size figures of the brand. The Folkmanis little fox hand puppet, with movable mouth and forelegs, is a clever companion to any story book.
Foxes (Vulpes) belong to the dog family, yet they hunt alone and quietly, much as a cat does. Hunting mice, a fox stands motionless, turns its head towards the sound, then leaps high and drives forelegs first into the grass. Both parents raise a litter: the vixen stays underground for the first weeks while the dog fox carries food to the earth. In late winter the hoarse calls of the mating season carry a long way.
Did you know that foxes have long since moved into our towns? They dig their earths under sheds and railway embankments, shrink their range to a few streets and are often out and about in broad daylight.
